Jamie Acutt

Founder and Chief Instructor. Jamie has been practising Martial Arts for most of his life. Over time, Jamie ventured more into the academic/theoretical side. Jamie has made various contributions to topics related to Martial Arts. His Academia.edu page profiles his work, where he is regularly listed in the top 2-3% for views on the platform. 

Jamie has devoted almost two decades to Westcountry Martial Arts. He learned from experts at the Cornish Wrestling Association (where he demoed at presentations, Royal County Show, and competed, 2014-2018). Jamie wrote the textbook, built and designed the website, created the brand identity, tested and taught the curriculum, defined the pillars and objectives of the organisation, and built the archive. Jamie has expanded into cudgelling and pugilism as part of the curriculum.
