WRESTLING. ON Wednesday and Thursday, the 4th and 5th of September next, (being the Tavistock and Plymouth Races,) there will be WRESTLING on Whitchurch Down, for a PURSE of TEN GUINEAS. The best man will be entitled to Seven Guineas; the second-best man Two Guineas; and the third-best One Guinea; with good encouragement to every standard. To commence the first day immediately after the races, and begin the second day at nine o’clock in the morning precisely—and finish each day before dark. N.B. Subscriptions still continue to be received by Messrs. Strong and Carpenter. Tavistock, 21st Aug. 1811.

WRESTLING. TO be WRESTLED for, at the Baker’s Arms Inn, in Honiton, on Tuesday the 3d of September next, a PURSE of SEVEN GUINEAS. The following are the principal articles relative to the play:—The winner of the first fall to receive Seven Shillings. The best player will be entitled to Three Guineas. The second ditto to One Guinea and Half, and the remainder of the purse to be divided among the next best players, in proportion to merit. Umpires or triers, will be chosen from three different parishes, Honiton not included. The play to commence punctually at 11 o’clock in the morning. A Dinner will be provided at the above inn, to be on table at one o’clock precisely. August 15th, 1811.
