WRESTLING. TO be WRESTLED FOR, at PAIGNTON, on Thursday & Friday the 22d & 23d of June, a PURSE of 20 SOVEREIGNS; Of which, the Best Man will receive, Six Pounds,—Second Ditto, Four,—Third, Three,—Fourth, One. Sixteen Standards will be made, all of whom will have a Dinner. Fair Play, which commences at Ten o’Clock precisely, will be shown and every encouragement given. An ORDINARY on the Ground Each Day. Paignton, May 30th, 1826.
25 SOVEREIGNS.—Fair Back Falls. Topsham Annual Grand WRESTLING MATCH, FOR THE ABOVE PRIZE, WILL TAKE PLACE in the BOWLING GREEN, of the SALUTATION INN, on MONDAY and TUESDAY, the 19th and 20th Days of JUNE next;—the Play to commence by 9 o’clock in the morning of each day. The best man will have 10 Sovereigns; the second best 4 Sovereigns;—those in immediate succession, in proportion. The Champions of the neighbouring Counties are earnestly requested to poke-in their horns; and as an inducement, 10 Shillings extra will be paid to each of them who obtains Share.
