RULES
The two Gamesters that wrestle shall be fairly chosen by lot.
- The two Gamesters will wrestle till one of them get three Falls, and that this wrestler will not be allowed anymore to compete for the Prize. It is ordered and agreed that a wrestler who will throw his opponent on two Joints at once to the ground will get a Fall. (The two joints are described as the two shoulders).
- No Gamester shall hire another to yield to him upon any condition, and if any such practice be discovered neither of them will be capable to get the Prize.
- The wrestler who will stand the last, not thrown by any one, with no breaks of these rules will get the Prize.
- If any Differences will happen concerning the Wrestling, it will be determined by two men, who will be chosen by the most voices of the Gamesters before they begin to Wrestle.
- That none Gamesters who wrestle with shoes that have any fort of nails or metal in them will get the Prize (It was often a gold-laced hat).
