Shaun Acutt

Back in 2014, driven by curiosity and a keenness to connect to the martial arts of Devon, Shaun stepped into a field in Honiton and wrestled in the local style – the first time for at least 100 years. The early days were no-frills, just honest experience. After a few practices, and some fruitful discussions with local archives and museums, Shaun decided to take the leap and expand the practice to others. Together with Jamie, the Acutts founded the Devonshire Wrestling Society. Shaun has since retired from the physical side of the sport.
